Aug. 14th, 2007 @ 02:15 pm I got riped off by orbitz.com
orbits customer service is a joke and will lie to you. they got me for $175 due to a ticket agent saying that a 1235pm flight was after midnight. I didn't hear the PM I just heard that after midnight. despite all this they have me on tape agreeing to 1235pm so I had to pay again to reschedule the ticket.  I was speaking to some on in in the Philippines I now have an address in the US and  I am going to write a pissed off letter.  Make sure that your times match up in the confirmation as the same as when they described them to you in the conversation.  Especially the AM and PM. If you don’t catch that they do not care.

Another travelers tale.

“The French Will Never Forget” organized an extraordinary gathering of approximately 2500 people in Omaha Beach, Normandy for July 4 th 2007. The crowd formed on the sand the letters of the phrase: “FRANCE WILL NEVER FORGET”, aimed at honoring the fallen American heroes who scarified their lives to liberate France at the end of WW II.

I am trying to losing weight. I know how lame that sounds especially this time of the year. But I am already 10 lbs down to a sleek and sexy 280lbs. My goal is to louse 50lbs by the end of 2007. The trick I am finding is not eating like a 300lb man and I switched to an asthma medicine that isn't a strong apatite stimulant. I was tempted to put on another 10lbs just for dramatic effect.  I bought some running sneakers  and I am going to go running tonight with Cara. More realistically I'll be running the same time Cara is running rather than running together. I weigh in every Saturday and I hope I can keep up this pace.

I bought a Wii this weekend. I took Monday off to play it. I don't have the new Zelda game yet but I have Red Steel. with the WII controls it is a very intense game.  I look like a complete dork having inadvisable sword fight in my living room.

Dec. 21st, 2006 @ 06:47 pm Sedona

As Cara has already posted we spent last week in Sedona. It is a very touristy but still prity and not to expensive. We took an air tour which I highly recommend. The only scary thing was that they had to take fuel out of the plane so it would be able to safely take off and land since our combined weight.

This is the back yard of where we stayed

Here I am feeding a horse.

On Sunday we saw snow! Which was exciting for us.

I haven't been in a movie mood lately but I am excited about 300

Dec. 15th, 2006 @ 08:50 am It has been an astonishingly fast 4 years.

Thursday was Cara and I's 4 year anniversary.  We are turning to an old married couple. Last night we ordered out PEI WEI's and watched The Office and Scrubs. But this weekend we are going to Sedona and stay in the bed and breakfast.

He is a pic I found of an trip heading the other way to Mexico from earlier this year.

This song tugs on some thing in me. it leaves me with the feeling of a man that has lived longer then he would like. Trent Reznor got all bent out of shape about Jonny Cash covering his song.

Probably the most intriguing question I have ran across today is will it blend? My blender recently choked to death on a can of garbanzo beans. This blender can blend almost any thing including a rake, few hockey pucks and 50 marbles.

Dec. 9th, 2006 @ 12:43 am pharmacy
I am not sure how much time you personally waisted at a pharmacy but they can be shockingly slow. it took 45 min to put 2 preboxed asthma inhalers in to a bag and take my money. It was 8pm on a Wednesday.

I still like my job, today I worked from 9:30 am till 11:30 pm. I spent 2 hours at the range today. It went well other than my habit of mixing up right and left when I am flustered, I shot ok just form the wrong cover. I was approached for working a domestic violence case load. If fells good to know that you have a good reputation. I don't think I'll put in for it now maybe down the road.

The quote of the days is "Well those where just statutory rape."

Next week is our 4 year anniversary. We still don't know what we will do for it. I am open to suggestions.

Hello all.

Things are going well. The arming process went well and I am now daily carrying a department issue Glock 22. It is nice to have a gun to go with the bullet proof vest. I am still enjoying my job. Work on the house has kind of stalled but I hope to jump start it in the next month or so. I just finishes the Dark Tower series by Steven King I waited until it was all out so I didn't have to be wait ounce I was invested in the story.

And a video of what it would be like is Al Qaeda recruited like the Mormons

About this Entry
Aug. 19th, 2006 @ 07:02 pm No gun for me.

I am finishing up my probationary year before I can attend the academy to be armed. Well I am not going to be able to attend the fire arms academy in September due to a lot of people in the department rethinking there views on being armed in light of the recent serial killer and rapist. Now my job consists of going in to felons houses al all hours of the night and asking very personal things. I have conducted 6 felonies arrests unarmed. At lest 3 people on my case load have killed some one in the past.

So the September class is full and there may not be another until latter next year. I am issued a bullet proof vest but not gun.

About this Entry
Jul. 11th, 2006 @ 11:07 am I still like my job but some times it gets to me.
Current Mood: drained

I am taking today off because I can. Yesterday I did 3 of the assessment tests and it mentally drained me. We have to give these assessments to every one on our case load every 6 months. The goal is to determine how much of a risk they are in the community. Depending on the honesty and openness of the person being interviewed if can be vary form disturbing conversation to a interrogation. And can last any where from 45 min to 3 hours.

During this interview we touch on every aspect of deviancy and flawed world views.

It takes a bit of wrangling before most people will admit to daily fantasies about children. Some never admit to any thing close to the truth. We alternate form “buddy buddy” to “good cop, bad cop” and flat out calling someone a liar.

For the most part it is entertaining and challenging but it is draining. The cool thing is that I make my own schedule and today I am playing Gameboy.
